I know I missed posting the boots of my week from July 27 – August 2. Sorry, I was BWB. (Busy while booted.) Here are the boots that I wore each day during the week of August 3 to 9:

No More BHD Coupon at Stompers
It’s been a great ride, but my relationship with Stompers Boots has changed since the store and its operations were sold. Recently, Stompers as we knew it was purchased by “the werks family of companies.” The “werks” are based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. You may have heard or seen “bootwerks” or “leatherwerks” — these are the companies to which I am referring.
Back in the day…

Boots of the Past Week
A mid-June week in the Northern Hemisphere, with our first “heat wave” (albeit 2.5 days), and the HHH has returned to the Worshinun arear (pronounced air-eee-ur). Gotta get the local vernacular right, right cheer in Worshinun. (If you’re not sure what I’m saying, go ax a local.)
I wore an average number of pairs of boots this week…

Ride Your Motorcycle To Work
Yesterday was National Ride Your Motorcycle to Work Day. Like us bikers need a day to recognize what we love to do as weather permits? Of COURSE!
Funny story about wearing dress slacks tucked into tall boots that I chose to wear for NRYMTWD (this acronym needs help…)

Favorite Boot Shots 1
I will be exceptionally busy with long days for a work-related major meeting this week. I will not have time to write my blog as I usually do.
Instead, I thought you would enjoy seeing some of my favorite boot photos. Today’s post features my own Dehner Boots on my Harley. (Photos after the jump)

How To Size Police Motorcycle Boots
I see or receive this question (or questions related to the same topic) frequently: “How do you determine the right size for police motorcycle boots?”

I own and wear police motorcycle boots — called patrol boots — regularly. Here is how I do it (your experience may be different):

Riding on January 1
The first of January dawned cold, too cold, I thought, to try to make arrangements to meet my motorcycle club for its annual “polar bear” motorcycle ride. Plus, I wanted to have a leisurely breakfast with my spouse, my brother, and my sister-in-law on my last day of holiday break.
But it was a bothersome thing in the back of my mind, “you don’t get many days in winter where it is sunny and tolerable for riding.”
However, I promised some senior pals to do some home repairs that I was not able to do earlier during my holiday break as I needed to spend time caring for my spouse. Now with my brother here and available to help my spouse should he need anything, I went to my 3 friends’ homes and dispatched the repairs quickly.
By early afternoon, it warmed up to a balmy 43F (6C) and I was done with my promised work for my senior pals. So what did I do?

New Improvements for Stock Dehner Boots
A motorcop spoke with me in November, asking about Dehner boots.
Cop: “My co-workers tell me that you know a lot about boots. I have some questions about Dehners.”
Me: “yeah, I have some experience. What do you want to know?” — not really indicating what my experience is quite yet.
Cop: “I’ve heard that regular (aka “stock”) Dehners sometimes break in bad or crack. The thing is, I need a new pair of motorboots and I can’t afford to get Dehners made of all leather. Is it true what they say about the regular Dehners being easily damaged?”
