On Wednesday, 18 March, Spouse and I boarded a plane and flew to Kailua-Kona, on the west side of the Island of Hawai’i (aka “Big Island”.) We settled in to the AirBnB we reserved near the Pacific Ocean.
There are still quite a few tourists here in Hawai’i, despite the Governor’s request that visitors stay home. Since we were already here, we decided to stay.

All day yesterday, I was in meetings in our county seat, with representatives of several departments (Planning, Environmental Protection, Permitting, and Fire/Rescue) to review adjustments to the build-out of the building for one of the fire stations that make up the three in the fire department on which I serve as President (of the volunteer side of this combined department.)

My Spouse and I enjoyed nine days on the island of Puerto Rico, where I have worked on projects and training for over 30 years. This trip was for three purposes — to renew my spirit and relationship with my Spouse; for both of us to look around to consider purchase of an investment property for a winter home; and to relax.
I know I have been lax in posting on this blog; however, Spouse and I are on vacation in Puerto Rico for a reason — to relax, renew, and enjoy each other.
