What a Biker Does When It Snows

As forecast, snow began to fall Sunday afternoon. By then, I had completed all of my work to care for my spouse and senior pals for the weekend.

I especially enjoyed lunch at a friend’s house. This friend lost both legs while serving in the Army. He had completed rehab, and some buddies and I remodeled his house to make it more suitable for someone who gets around both in a wheelchair and also using prosthetic legs. He invited us over for lunch, which he made himself, to show off his abilities. His smile said it all, and I was grateful to be able to help him and his family.

So now that it was “officially” becoming a winter wonderland again, what did this biker do?

Leather in Public–Shopping with Seniors

A regular weekend activity is to escort lovely ladies to the grocery store. During winter months, it is quite common that I wear comfortable leather jeans, a flannel shirt, and a leather jacket. Black boots, of course, complete the UoD.

None of my friends say a thing about the leather. They are quite accustomed to seeing me dressed that way.

Ever the gentleman, I frequently reach on high shelves to get items for my sr. friends who are, let’s say, “vertically challenged.”

That background lead to an amusing situation on Sunday…

Flying In Leather

Yesterday, I flew two flight segments to get home from my business trip. I was in three airports (departure, transfer, and arrival) for several hours of waiting time. There were hundreds of people who saw me while I was in lines to check in, going through security, waiting for planes, and waiting over an hour for luggage at baggage claim.

I was dressed for these flights in what I like to wear when I dress casually in cool weather: leather jeans, biker t-shirt, and comfortable boots.

What’s that? Leather jeans — you wore them in public!!! — in airports? What did people say or do?

Leather in August? No Sweat!

Man, the weather in my neck of the woods has been weird… three heat waves (defined as at least three days or longer of temperatures in the mid-90s [35C] with dewpoints in the 70s [24C]) … right during the time when The Spouse and I were moving tons (literally) of rocks to build a backyard waterfall, pond, and patio.

But come this past Sunday, a cool breeze heralded an oncoming cold front, lowering air temperatures to the 70s (24C) and dewpoints a refreshing 53F (12C), making it feel dry and cool. Certainly not the “dog days of summer!”

Time to LEATHER UP!…

Hanging Up Fetish Gear

Leatherdude1Back in the days of my youth, even before I met my spouse and for a few years thereafter… I thought of myself as a “leatherman” whose interests followed to attend events like International Mr. Leather (IML), Mid-Atlantic Leather (MAL), and various smaller gatherings of guys in gear. Yep, I have the leather, but what do I do with it now?

The Leatherman at the Organic Market

Ooops, I got some organic/shmorganic yuppies upset. My spouse required more rabbit food (protein cereal grains) that is only sold at an organic market. While I was out and about running errands on my Harley today, I stopped by that market to get the grains my spouse asked for. Dressed like this:
LeatherBDU24

I should have known… really… what would happen, especially when I rode up to the store and observed most vehicles parked in the store’s lot were hybrids.

It was my full leather that caught attention of some folks who…

No More Videos

UPDATE: Read this update about my perspective and challenges with future video-making.

Some of my loyal followers have found me through my videos that I have posted on YouTube since 2006. Unfortunately, so-called “upgrades” of technology have conspired against me, so I have decided that I will not create any new videos. It is sad to have to arrive at this decision, but here’s why:
