I regret that I do not have much time to write a blog post — my spouse had a really bad day yesterday, and once again, I poured myself into my caregiving role.
This morning at oh-dark-30, he is sleeping well and I have to go to work. I have a major meeting with the boss’ boss today that I can’t miss. This tug-o-heart between working at a job that I am passionate about and caring for my spouse who remains quite ill is awful, but I soldier on.
My spouse knows how torn I am, so a few days ago, he presented me with a gift — yeah, boots — Tony Lama Signature Series
Cognac Caiman super-dressy cowboy boots, shown below. These boots are solid, firm, and feel terrific. Of course, they will require breaking in, but right out of the box and on my feet, these boots felt sturdy and make that great cowboy boot clunk when I walk in them.
My spouse bought them for me on a July 4 sale, and from what I can figure out, he got a great deal. I am so fortunate to be in love with a man who enjoys surprising me with my personal passion.
I will definitely be booted right for this important management meeting in the office today! I am wearing dress khakis, maroon shirt, and a blue/yellow patterned tie.
Life is short: wear boots to work!
Great boots! And they are even better coming as a gift from the one you love.
How tall are those boots?
Standard 13 inches. Photos and a description will appear sometime on my website.
Such beautiful boots!
