Once again, The Boss is on extended TDY effective today, which leaves me back at the ranch, …

…holding the fort.

Not that I haven’t done it before, but it is a huge responsibility. I am glad they think enough of me to give me this assignment. For however long The Boss is away, I’m in charge of our unit at the office. Lots of people to look after and (electronic) paper shuffling to do.

Since The Spouse is not well and I have to remain close to home, it is just as well that this happens again this summer.

Life is short: hold the fort when given the chance to do so.
