Last week here in the ‘burbs of DC, it was still summer hot and humid. I got my Harley back — finally had an electrical ghost fixed, and rode it to work on Friday on a pleasantly sunny and warm day. In fact, Friday my boss and I…
…had our annual “take the boss to lunch aboard the Harley” ride. We had a great time, good food, and great company.
He wore boots and jeans, as requested. No silly dress shoes, sneakers, etc. (He listens well!)
Over the weekend, I drove our new 4-wheel cage to Pittsburgh, cared for the mother-in-law, prepared meals, then drove my man back home whose time of caregiving had been completed. Man, it’s great having my snuggly spouse back in my arms.
Overnight, autumn made itself felt. Nicely cool with 50F (10C) ambient air temperatures early this morning. Definitely, time to pull on the Dehners with my dress clothes, chaps, full lining of my RevIT jacket for my commute aboard the Harley to work.
The weather is definitely becoming more autumn-like. No worries, there is still summer lingering for some more weeks, but for now, I’ll enjoy autumn’s first introduction and leathering up for my ride to work.
Life is short: boot up, leather up, and ride!
A great job, a great boss – who you take to lunch on your Harley – and a great home life. You truly have a charmed life. May you continue to have much happiness now and in the future.
