Smiles for the Holidays

For the first time in three very long years, there are renewed smiles in the ol’ BHD household. Trust me, in the image below the jump, my spouse really is smiling 🙂

Christmas2014blogMy beloved spouse is actually looking forward to Christmas, and entertaining his mother. I will drive to her home in western Pennsylvania to pick her up and bring her to our house this weekend.

I have concluded work for the year, so I am taking accrued vacation time through the end of December.

My twin brother and his wife arrive to visit for the holidays on Wednesday.

I will be off-line for the next several days, so I may not write a blog again until right before Christmas.

Be safe, be well, and remember — have faith while showing those you love how you love them.

Because life is short.

  1. I like your blog and your no nonsense attitude. Specifically, I love your suggestion on storing boots! The hanging from the bootstraps is a brilliant idea. Our household is awash in boots and even though we have build shelves, I figured there had to be a better storage idea as well.

Hope your holidays are happy and your new year brings health, prosperity and lots of great experiences. Oh yes, and boots!

  2. May you, your hubby, your loved ones and all of your loyal blog readers enjoy a very festive holiday season. Here’s hoping all have good or improved health, wealth and luck now and in the New Year.
