Greetings! Spouse and I are celebrating Canada Day with the friendliest neighbours to our north, in Toronto.

We arrived on the smoothest flight and entry I have ever experienced. But nothing was more surprising than…

…being informed when we arrived at our hotel that we had been upgraded to the honeymoon suite.

How did that happen? A zillion years ago, I taught someone in a class and encouraged her to excel in the field of my profession. She did… most excellently. She eventually became the assistant director of our shared profession for the world-wide corporate headquarters of the hotel chain where we are staying. She arranged our room upgrade, for which we are grateful.

This room rambles all over the place, has a spa tub, large living room, and very comfortable bedding. We are thrilled and humbled to be welcomed this way.

Now we are off to explore this delightful city on Canada Day!
