I had mentioned on this blog that I had a medical issue which was affecting my ability to enjoy life, travel, and ride my Harley. I developed two medical problems during the winter that I am grateful to report are now (mostly) resolved.
Back in December, the stress of the Idiot-In-Chief’s disgusting charade of a Government Shutdown over a temper tantrum with attempts to do more illegal and absolutely immoral, hateful, bone-headed silly, unworkable, unhinged craziness — and Congress calling him on it — caused my…
…chronic intestinal illness to flare badly. The treatment for it was almost worse than the cure. However, with more calmness in my life, and with my spouse’s constant care — as well as turning off the damn TV so I won’t hear or see that ugly orange liar — my illness calmed down. Now, I just take a shit on the lawn of the bloviator’s residence (oh, I wish)… and I am better.
Then on a long-haul airline flight in early February, I developed a scary medical condition by falling asleep and not moving for six hours.
I caught it quickly and got immediate medical treatment. The treatment was also difficult, and required switching meds to one with less side-effects, but eventually, with time, exercise, and diet control, that old-age problem also resolved and a visit with a doctor yesterday confirmed — I am back on the “fly with caution” list (rather than the “no-fly” list.) I also was advised that I could taper down and stop taking the meds.
This Spring, I am working on walking more, swimming (some), and getting the circulation working better.
And I am definitely working on plans for travel for fun — with The Spouse and with my riding buddies (locally and afar). I am a planner, so some of these adventures may not be this year, but WILL happen! Yes, “S” — Utah again next year! Just keep me moving, blood flowing, and keep me avoiding the idiot-in-chief and his corrupt cronies (by keeping the TV off), and I will get better.
Too bad ignoring the liar won’t make him go away and cease the damage he continues to do to my country, but nothing I can about it right now, other than conduct classes for those who will take the Oath of Allegiance (that is, become U.S. citizens) — and educate them about the right way our Government should operate so they can make well-informed decisions when they vote in U.S. elections for the first time.
Life is short: turn off the TV and pray for our country to return to sanity on January 20, 2021.
