Boot of the day… regretfully, no longer available…
When one realizes that he has some favorite boot styles, then looks for photos, sometimes he learns that he needs to take more pictures. 🙂
This recent post on this blog explains why you can’t get these Chippewa harness boots any more. What a shame.

I sent an e-mail to Chippewa regarding their decision on this. Their response was that they would be introducing new styles in the spring.
A search of the Chippewa website indicates an intent to discontinue the 11″ engineer boots as well. Most of the sizes are no longer available.
Yes, I had heard that they discontinued all of the short engineer boot line as well as the “1937 Vintage” lineup, including the shorter engineers and tall engineers in brown (like these).
Thanks for letting me know what they told you in response to your email. They have not replied to mine except some useless “cut-and-paste” drivel.
