Cleanup

Not much time to write a blog today, after feeding the thundering herds… (not really… seniors don’t thunder and they do not eat that much!) But the 20th “Thanksgiving Feastival” was another success, with …

…98 lovely sr. pal visitors, 12 family, 6 elected officials, and a husband who stayed with us most of the time (trust me, that is unusual since he detests crowds and social-anything.)

We sang, we laughed, we grazed. Sang some more, caught up on our lives, cherished memories, and made more. My four turkeys were mostly consumed, or carvings sent home with our visitors who are always given a plate full of leftovers (reducing what we need to take to the dump today by 3/4).

We informed some newly elected officials at the county and state levels what we want to see in our community, then scared them when we told them how closely we will be watching (te he…).

This morning as I write this, Spouse and I are cleaning up, then hauling a load of trash in my truck to the dump. After that visit, Spouse has the joy of enduring an MRI. His medical needs and tests never stop.

But once we get home today and restore the house to its usual order, I think we will kick back and watch a movie. No “Black Friday” shopping.

Life is short: cherish your family and friends and bask in the warmth of their love.
