There are some boots in my cowboy boot collection that seem to go especially well with blue denim jeans, and others that go best when worn with dress slacks, and some that go with both. This blog is about my boots that match well with blue denim, and not that well with dress slacks. Read on….
In my humble boot-wearing opinion, boots that have a naturally worn appearance, or that have distressed leather vamps (feet), and especially that are in the light to dark tan color palette go well with blue denim. That’s not to say that other colors can’t work, either. I’m just saying that the tonal range of tan or brown match well with blue denim. Cases in point:
Justin Bent Rail boots
Justin Distressed Brown (well-worn) cowboy boots
Dan Post Roughout boots
Besides tan/brown boots, blue denim jeans also go particularly well with cognac (orange-brown) boots, such as these:
Traditional ostrich cowboy boots
Lucchese Classic cognac boots
And finally, blue denim jeans look great with exotic skin boots such as these:
Lucchese Classic Peat Elephant boots
Lucchese Classic Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake boots
In my overall opinion, boots are made for jeans regardless of the color. The boots shown above look strikingly handsome with denim jeans.
Life is short: wear boots with jeans.

Jeeeeez…those Justin bent rail boots are just perfect for jeans. Thanks for keeping up the blog and your site, always interested in your posts.
