My poor Harley sits patiently in the garage on a battery tender. I swear, the Harley is scowling at the snowblower parked next to him. <\/p>\nToday, 1 March, is the first day of meteorological Spring north of the equator. So this biker asks, “where is that elusive so-called Spring? Hmmmm??? Just where is warmer, drier, non-snowy, non-icy weather? Hmmmm???” My spouse asks, “don’t you know people???”

\nOnce again today, the marvelous “they” are forecasting snow, freezing rain, sleet, all.friggin.day. <\/p>\n
Aside: it is amusing to me that my friends who live on the West Coast of the United States think that we here in Maryland have had the amount of snow that has dumped on Boston, Massachusetts, where record-breaking and back-breaking meters of snow have fallen.<\/p>\n
Not the case here in Maryland. Yeah, we’ve had some snow, but not as much as 800 miles north of us. Four inches here, eight inches there, and two so-called “storms” with an inch or two. Really, not that much snow “down” here. But my geographically-challenged West Coast friends think that all of us on the “East Coast” are building igloos and will not dig out until July.<\/p>\n
Back to this post: It has been damn cold. So cold that we have not had even one day of moderately mild temperatures that we usually get at least once or twice a month during winter. <\/p>\n
