Yesterday I went on a police-escorted ride which always happens to be held on the same date as the DC Pride Festival in Washington, DC. I have gone on this ride held the second Sunday of June for many years. (2013<\/a>;   2012<\/a>   2011<\/a>…)<\/p>\n

As I have posted several times before, going to the DC Pride Festival is about the last thing…

\n… my spouse and I would want to do. Why? We are not “party boys.” Standing around in the hot sun and a party atmosphere is not something we are interested in doing. And what the local newspaper says is so true — “Gay Pride” is almost anticlimactic. The event in DC has turned into a big party.<\/p>\n

My spouse and I are already legally married. I have spousal benefits from the U.S. Government. The thin layers of restriction in other states are crumbling almost daily. Yeah… let’s move on.<\/p>\n

Instead, I mounted my iron horse…
\n\"Rideready01\"…met some buddies…
\n\"Ridelead01\"…played follow-the-leader…
\n\"Ridelead02\"…had several hundred behind me…
\n\"Ridefollow01\"… and when we arrived at the destination, I turned right around and scooted back home. My spouse had a bad day yesterday and I had to get back. <\/p>\n
