“Likewise! Great day for a ride!”<\/p>\n
Then he frowned and said, “except for the idiots that warm weather brings out on motorcycles. Sorry to see many guys in shorts, sneakers and flip-flops!”<\/p>\n
I shrugged and said, “Darwin Award contenders, eh?”<\/p>\n
He laughed and said, “just good to see you’re not among them. Good to see a biker in sturdy boots, long pants, helmet, and even a jacket and gloves.”<\/p>\n
Yep, that’s me. ATGATT — All The Gear, All The Time. <\/p>\n
The light was about to change, and I said, “ATGATT! Have a good day and thanks for your service!”<\/p>\n
To that he smiled, waved, and motored off.<\/p>\n
What boots was I wearing? A sturdy pair of tall Chippewa engineers, but with jeans over them. I was rather warm and was considering removing the jacket, but with the officer’s encouragement, I kept it on and made sure the ventilation zips were fully open.<\/p>\n
