{"id":314,"date":"2009-02-06T10:44:00","date_gmt":"2009-02-06T14:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bootedmanblog.com\/?p=314"},"modified":"2016-01-16T07:09:31","modified_gmt":"2016-01-16T12:09:31","slug":"an-emotional-week-ends-on-a-high-note","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bootedmanblog.com\/?p=314","title":{"rendered":"An Emotional Week Ends On A High Note"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family:verdana;\">Real quick, added blog post:  I had a rough week in saying goodbye after the death of a friend who I helped to get elected to assume the office that his wife, who was my mentor and very close friend, held for 17 years until her death this past February.  <\/p>\n<p>Upon return to work today, I was informed that I was selected for a position for which I had applied at my current employer.  This is a big promotion for me!  I won out over several other outstanding candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Like Sally Field said long ago:  &#8220;They like me.  They really like me!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Whoo-hoo!
