As I have mentioned, I began trying to sell some of my leather gear and boots. <\/p>\n
A guy who has a keen eye for quality purchased…

\n… my leather LAPD fetish uniform, a pair of leather jeans, and my old vintage “Leathermaker” chaps and a pair of Dehner boots.<\/p>\n
I dutifully packed the boots in one box and the leather gear in another box. I packed both boxes well and securely. I brought them to UPS to ship them to the buyer. Dummy me, trying to save the buyer some money, I packed all of the leather items in one box.<\/p>\n

Double-dummy me, I didn’t insure the package for the full value.<\/p>\n
The package with the boots made it on time. The package with the four leather items disappeared. <\/p>\n
I filed a “missing package” report and was informed that UPS would do an “investigation.”<\/p>\n
Ha — nothing further from the truth. UPS didn’t investigate. I think that when they saw that their loss would only be for $100, they just let it go. I allege that the box with the leather items was damaged and\/or opened by some automated or human gorilla. When a UPS employee saw the quality of the leather gear, he (or she) took these things for him\/herself. <\/p>\n
I am continuing to watch eBay to see if these items show up. If you see them trying to be sold or worn by anyone, contact me immediately!<\/a><\/p>\n UPS notified me that the package was lost and paid my measly claim. I am actually out $1,300. My fault for not insuring it properly. I betcha if I did, they would have found it during their so-called “investigation.”<\/p>\n Never again will I use UPS. <\/p>\n I stopped using the U.S. Postal Service long ago due to a similar issue — they also “lost” a box I shipped and took forever to pay my claim. <\/p>\n I guess I’ll use FedEx, or perhaps just Facebook marketplace and sell local-only.<\/p>\n Life is short: UPS has thieves in their midst (my opinion, to which I am entitled by this awful experience.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I have been rather quiet on this blog during the last few weeks while I have been simmering in anger with United Parcel Service (UPS).
