\"\"I have become a fan of Tecovas Boots<\/a>. I seldom rave about boots or the companies that make them, but in this case, Tecovas has earned an exception and my respect. (BTW, this post is my own; I was not offered anything in exchange for what I am about to say… read on!)<\/p>\n

Back in February 2017, I bought my first pair of Tecovas boots — regular calfskin boots with a round toe.<\/p>\n

These boots arrived quickly and…

\n…I pulled them on. I did not really think anything about the fit. The boots were tight, but I thought they would stretch a bit to conform to my feet since I ordered them in my Brannock device measurement of 10D (my accurate foot size.)<\/p>\n

\"\"I wore those boots for a while — to work, around town, to community meetings, etc. Only places I did not wear them was to the Fire House (where I serve in a leadership position and wear a uniform, including Firefighter Boots<\/a>) and while riding my Harley. I have always said that smooth-soled boots are not appropriate to wear when operating a motorcycle.<\/p>\n

However, those boots never really did stretch much, and after a while, I found that they were so uncomfortable, they were relegated to the back of my boot closet while I selected other boots from my cowboy boot collection<\/a> to wear.<\/p>\n

Subsequently when I have ordered Tecovas Boots (now at seven pairs in my collection), I have ordered them in size 11D, and they fit great. Must be the last that is used to form the boot — the last their Mexican boot manufacturer uses produces a boot too small for my real measurements.<\/p>\n

Fast-forward to February 2020. Tecovas began to state in their omnipresent marketing ads\/social media posts that they were going to discontinue the “desert” color (on boots, kind of a light orange or cognac color). I communicated with Tecovas to ask if they would accept an order with a delayed delivery date since I did not want to order boots and have them arrive while Spouse and I were in Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n

I explained that I bought a pair of Tecovas “Cartwright” boots in the desert color, but they didn’t fit. However, like the usual dumb guy, I wore them too much to qualify to return them as unused, or in resellable condition. I did also say that I own seven pairs of Tecovas Boots now, and really like their product.<\/p>\n

I also really like the desert color on boots, so I wanted to get a pair of plain calfskin boots in that color that actually would fit me.<\/p>\n

\"\"Tecovas quickly responded and offered an exchange anyway, and agreed to wait to do that until I returned from Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n

They really didn’t have to do that. I realize that I was way outside the exchange policy and timing window.<\/p>\n

Maybe it is because they “see” that I have written positive (and accurate) reviews of their boots, and that I own seven pairs, which probably by most counts, is more on a “per owner” basis than most other customers they have.<\/p>\n

Anyway, Tecovas sent me a return FedEx label for my old boots, and shipped me the new Tecovas Cartrights<\/a> which arrived as quickly as ever (two business days, ground shipping. Amazing!)<\/p>\n

I tip my Stetson to Lakeisha of Tecovas “Customer Experience” for working this out with me. I am a very happy man, and dedicated Tecovas fan!<\/p>\n
