\n\"\"……go running in them on my way to the office. I hate being late, and when traffic delays my arrival at the parking lot where I park my Harley, I often find that I have to run to avoid being late for nine-o’clock meetings.<\/p>\n

Why start meetings so early? I don’t really know. I barely have enough time to drink my half caff soy latte that I picked up at the Starbucks drive-through that I ordered through the Starbucks app on my phone.<\/p>\n

But I digress… I thought the best application of combined uses for footwear was to get motorcycle shoes. These are the latest trend in footwear, especially for those on a budget because they are mass produced in China for best advantage of pricing, at less than US$70 a pair. Wow! Let’s get two pairs in different colors — one to go with brown suits, and one to go with navy!<\/p>\n

\"\"The soles provide comfort, even though they are not welted and are glued on. Doesn’t matter — as most products these days are designed for the throw-away consumer society, when these “motorcycle shoes” develop a hole in the area where the soles are glued on to the foot, I can just toss them in the trash and get a new pair. Doesn’t really matter that they never decompose. We can just have the trash people ship them back to China for recycling.<\/p>\n

I also like how flexible the soles are — perfect for running, my new activity for weight-loss management. Traction-smaction. Oil on the roads is not something I ever will encounter when I ride my motorcycle.<\/p>\n

I see lots of younger guys wearing these motorcycle shoes when I go on rides sponsored by the dealership that caters to all bikers and thinks it is in Washington, DC. Squids know their shoes, that’s for sure. And they also know a bargain when they see one!<\/p>\n
