After a week’s worth of work-travel out west, I returned home to find…

\n…my Spouse in more discomfort than ever. The phone calls home during the week tore me up, but there was nothing my brother or I could do.<\/p>\n
Now to compound the situation, The Spouse’s 90-year-old mother is in sad shape again. Spouse’s sister visited her for two weeks, and despite our pleas not to do it, she dragged her mother out to go shopping. Women’s shopping — walking and walking and walking uselessly. <\/p>\n
Sister said, “walking is good for her!” No… a frail old lady can not walk well at home, much less walk from store to store in shopping malls.<\/p>\n
Now the mother-in-law is complaining about significant pain in her leg and back. Once again — I have seen this before — the walking caused a compression fracture in her spine that is causing collapsed vertebrae to pinch and put pressure on the sciatic nerve, thus the pain.<\/p>\n
M-I-L cannot understand why this is happening. She told her son on the phone that she wants him to come take care of her. She does not understand that her son is seriously ill and cannot travel. So she cries, Spouse gets upset, and his condition gets worse.<\/p>\n
This blog is on hiatus until we get these situations under control.<\/p>\n
