\"\"Last you heard from me, I was on a road trip for a long weekend. I traveled to (location in image to the right). I rode in a buddy’s truck to get there — weather was too cold, windy, and wet and at 500 miles one-way, it was too far to ride my Harley (in a day).<\/p>\n

I was there with about 800 bikers from the Midwest and Eastern United States for training. Oh, what us motorcycle club officers have to do…. Anyway, I looked most at the footwear on all these bikers. <\/p>\n

Disappointingly, more than 75% of the men and women at this training for leaders of safe riding motorcycle clubs wore…

\n…yeah, unfortunately, silly sneakers. <\/p>\n

“I am on my feet all day; not on my bike. Sneakers are comfortable!” … the all too-frequent phrase that I heard from most of these people when I asked, “where’s the boots?”<\/p>\n

And yes, I did ask! I was not surprised by the response. <\/p>\n

There was a lot of walking involved. We met in a convention center that was spread out somewhat between locations for meetings, classes, and presentations. <\/p>\n

I demonstrated, though, that a guy can wear boots all day at such an event and be quite comfortable.<\/p>\n

What boots did I wear?<\/p>\n

1. My Chippewa Firefighter Boots<\/a> with dark blue tactical pants… kinda “uniform-ish” but stylishly comfortable. <\/p>\n

2. My Chippewa harness boots<\/a>. Standard biker boots that are very, very comfortable and look good with regular denim jeans.<\/p>\n
