I had an intense week of business travel in a city on the West Coast of the United States all last week, Sunday through Saturday. I facilitated, led, and managed 10 meetings held back-to-back-to-back and a few concurrently. Cat herding is my specialty.<\/p>\n
My return flights, including a connection, were uneventful and on-time. Amazing these days. <\/p>\n
Today, my boots and I…

\n… are still playing major “catch up”. I am pretty much caught up at home, save for having to make more doctor’s appointments for the spouse. I can only make those appointments when the doctor’s offices are open, and I have to make them because my spouse cannot drive so I choose times that have the least impact on my having to take time off work to drive home, pick him up, and drive him to wherever these doctor’s offices are located. <\/p>\n
I have a LOT of catch-up to do at work following these meetings. My “to-do” list is longer than my arm (Can you spell “j-o-b s-e-c-u-r-i-t-y?” LOL). My boss was very happy with how everything went. He could sit back, participate and not worry about how the meetings were running. <\/p>\n
We did have a minor weather situation where I had to relocate our meetings on Friday to avoid having our attendees have to walk on ice. Nice to have a “Plan B” backup that worked with minimal impact.<\/p>\n
And, thankfully, I have caught up on jet lag. I do worse with it flying west than I do flying east because I am such a morning person. Also, since I did not remain awake last night to watch some overhyped football game, I was able to get plenty of rest to awaken Monday morning with a bright smile and determination to get a lot done today.<\/p>\n
So I am off to the races… booted in Lucchese caimans, dress shirt, no tie, flannel dress slacks…<\/p>\n
